Ricky & Rebecca’s Beautiful Panola Valley Gardens Wedding.
We’ve just returned from our family trip to Florida (yes, it was very hot & humid)! But right before we left town, Joannie & I had the honor of photographing Ricky & Rebecca’s beautiful Panola Valley Gardens wedding.
It turns out that their wedding day was just getting us ready for the Florida heat, as it was a very hot and humid day right here in Minnesota! I can’t tell you the last time I drank that much water in one day. It was so hot that some of our flash equipment actually shut itself down to cool off at one point in the day. That’s something that’s never happened to us before. Thankfully, we’ve got plenty of backup equipment, so it didn’t slow us down for very long.
Hot, Hot, Hot!
Despite the heat, this was a really beautiful Panola Valley Gardens wedding. This was the second time I had photographed a wedding at Panola Valley Gardens, but it was the first time Joannie had photographed a wedding there. The sun, heat, and humidity limited the places that we could photograph in. But that wasn’t a real problem at this stunning wedding venue. There are so many beautiful locations all around Panola Valley Gardens. We spent much of our time in the shade around Mary’s Pond.
We got Ricky & Rebecca’s beautiful Panola Valley Gardens wedding off to a great start with some nice images of Rebecca and the girls getting ready. Then Ricky had his first look with Rebecca on a pretty hillside garden in the shade.
We moved over to nearby Mary’s Pond, where we created some really pretty images of our cute couple and most of the wedding party images were created there as well. Family portraits were also done in the shade, but back near the ceremony site.
A Beautiful Wedding Ceremony
Ricky & Rebecca’s beautiful Panola Valley Gardens wedding ceremony followed, and at its conclusion, we took one big group photo of all of the guests with Minnesota’s newest newlyweds front and center!
On the way to the reception, we all made a brief pit stop with the wedding party at Scooters Bar in Lindstrom, MN for a little liquid refreshment.
Dinner and lots of dancing and celebrating in Forest Lake, MN followed. It was a great finish to one heck of a fun wedding day!
Ricky & Rebecca, Joannie & I want to say thank you for the honor of creating your wedding photographs for you. We had a great time with you guys, your families and your fun and crazy wedding party! We hope you enjoy your highlight music video and we’ll see you soon when you’re ready to plan your wedding album. – M&J
