Senior Portraits at Michael Anderson Photography
Whether you’re looking for creative senior portraits in a studio or outdoor setting, we have you covered. At Michael Anderson Photography, we’ve got a fully equipped indoor studio and our very own outdoor Portrait Park right here at our home-based studio as well.
Senior Pics On Location
We also take many of our high school senior pictures on location too! Some of the Twin Cities senior photo locations we’ve worked at are the downtowns of Anoka, Stillwater, Minneapolis, and St. Paul. The Saint Anthony Main area in Minneapolis is a favorite senior photography spot.

Senior Photos on Lake Superior
We’re also very well known for our annual “North Shore Portrait Weekend” on Lake Superior every year. In some years, we’ve had as many as six high school seniors join us for sessions “up north”!

Green Screen Senior Portrait Composites

The Dunk!
In the last several years, we’ve been creating green screen senior composites. These special senior portraits are great for hockey players (both boys and girls), soccer, golf, baseball, and dancers too!

Good Lighting For Great Senior Portraits
If there’s one thing that bugs us, it’s poorly lit photos of any kind, not just senior portraits. With that in mind, we’ve built our very own lighting kit on wheels. We call it Lightning McQueen!
We’ve used Lightning McQueen for Twin Cities senior portraits from Minneapolis to Stillwater. This portable lighting vehicle delivers exceptional lighting for our seniors.

Our Seniors Are Special
One of the things that I like most about using Lightning McQueen is the attention that our seniors get when we’re walking around town with it. It’s like having a mini film crew and it makes them feel special.
On more than one occasion, either my senior or their parent has noticed that the other photographers around us aren’t using any lighting at all. When they see their images afterward, they understand why I use so much lighting on location. Eyes, hair, and the whole image get better and are better controlled.

Light Painted Senior Portraits
If all that isn’t enough, we’re also creating one-of-a-kind senior photos that are light painted! These are really, really cool! Dozens of exposures are combined to create an image that you won’t believe. Vehicles are the normal subject matter, but just about anything with lots of detail works great.
