Anna, Ryan, Katie, and Lucy dropped by our studio to have their professional portraits with Santa Claus. It was our first annual Santa Claus portrait event!
Our professional portraits with Santa charity event helped raise more than $1100 for the Ralph Reeder Food Shelf! The special one-day event was attended by more than twenty-five kids of all ages. Many of their parents and even some of their grandparents stopped by to witness the fun too!
The kids all had lots of time to visit with Santa Claus in his sleigh. Joannie and “Uncle Mike” supplied treats for the kids and the adults too!
At the end of each of the professional portraits with Santa, Santa presented each child with a special coin that had “I was caught being good” on it. He also presented each one of them their first candy cane of the holiday season. Santa also presented each child with a small gift bag from Joannie and Michael.
The Santa Experience
This fun Santa photo session stars big sister Anna and her brother Ryan along with their two super cute cousins Katie and her two-month-old little sister Lucy! These kids are no strangers to “Uncle Mike’s” photography studio. Each as been here many times before; except little Lucy. This was just her second visit as she was just here a few weeks back for her newborn portraits.
The kids brought their moms along too! “M&J Brides” Kristin and JoJo who’s weddings Joannie and I had the pleasure to photograph a few years back, and grandma Maureen was there too.
Next year should be even more fun as Anna and Ryan are going to have a new sibling sometime in the next few weeks! Sweet!
Having Professional Portraits with Santa was a different kind of portrait proposition for Joannie and me, as we didn’t know how well the kids would act towards Santa Claus. As most of us know, lots and lots of kids are scared of the big guy. That’s why we scheduled half-hour time slots (or more with more kids in the sessions) so that hopefully everyone would get a chance to warm up to Santa Claus. It worked like a charm! Every single child (eventually) got to visit, talk to, like, and have their Professional Portraits with Santa! Nice!
Ralph Reeder Food Shelf
Each of our awesome clients donated the $75 session fee (and sometimes more) to help us raise money for the Ralph Reeder Food Shelf in New Brighton, Minnesota. Because of our efforts and our wonderful client’s generosity, we raised more than $1100 during our one-day Portraits with Santa Claus charity event! Thank you to all of you for making this a successful fundraising event! We’re going to have to do it again next year!
We know you’ll enjoy the highlight video of Anna, Ryan, Katie and Lucy’s Professional Portraits with Santa Claus. They are just that cute!
