Tori’s Senior Portraits on the North Shore of Lake Superior!

Here’s another of the highlights from one of our senior portraits on the North Shore of Lake Superior. This was part of our 21st annual North Shore Weekend. As always, we had a lot of fun spending the weekend with several of our clients on the big lake! We started the weekend off with a bang with Steve & Kaitlin’s wet & beautiful wedding at Superior Shores in Two Harbors, MN.
On Sunday, we created Katie’s senior portraits on Lake Superior as well as her family’s portraits at Split Rock Lighthouse. Then, simultaneously, we photographed Rick & Becca’s fun engagement portraits as we all traveled the beautiful Lake Superior shoreline together.
On Monday, we had the pleasure of photographing Tori and her classmate, Maegan up north too. We’ve photographed Tori since she was a baby, and we also photographed her parent’s wedding, Rusty & Renae, back in 1992!

Green Screen Senior Sports Composite
A couple of weeks before our “North Shore Weekend”, I had some fun photographing Tori in the studio on our green screen, here’s one of the senior photo sports composites that I’ve created so far from that session.

The weather on Monday was pretty challenging, full sun and no clouds in the sky to soften the sunlight. It also was a bit breezy at times, but nothing like last years very strong winds.
Tori and Maegan’s portrait sessions began at Split Rock Lighthouse State Park. Because it was so sunny there, we only stayed a short time and moved on to better lighting spots towards Two Harbors, MN.

After our portrait time at Split Rock Lighthouse, we hit the road and made a stop at our secret location and then once again at Gooseberry Falls State Park to get the pretty falls in the background. The sun still caused some problems there, but the big crowds were the real surprise there considering it was a Monday.

We took turns with the two of them and even a couple of images with both of them at all of our stops along the way.

We concluded both sessions in the historic town of Two Harbors, Minnesota. As you can see, Tori‘s senior portraits on the North Shore of Lake Superior sure were pretty cute (right Tori?). We’ll be sharing Maegan’s senior portraits on the North Shore of Lake Superior very soon as well. – M&J
