Mounds View MN Kids Photographer One-Year-Old Portraits of Mackenna
Last Saturday, I had the pleasure of seeing one of my favorite little ladies. Miss Mackenna dropped by for her one-year-old portraits along with a few family portraits with her mom Alli, and her dad, James. Mackenna is getting so big!
It’s been just a few months since Mackenna’s was last here for kid’s photos. Most recently, Mackenna enjoyed The Best Santa Experience in Santa’s Workshop back in November. All she’s done since then is get taller and even cuter, and she has learned how to walk too! Although walking is not one of her favorite things to do (yet), just give her a few weeks and look out!
I also had the privilege of creating Mackenna’s newborn portraits when she was just a few days old at her home last March. I remember two things about her newborn photo session that stand out. One, she was really cute. Two, she didn’t want to go to sleep for most of the time I was there!
One-Year-Old Photos
On this day, Mackenna arrived a little hungry, or so you would have thought. She hit the baby snacks throughout the family photo part of her session. It was decided that a bottle break was in order before we proceeded with her one-year-old photos. That was just the ticket. We now had a happy toddler on our hands!
Mom and dad brought some of the decorations and balloons from her birthday party last weekend. We decorated the set with them and placed the guest of honor in the middle of them. I think that James and I had the easy part! James worked on getting Mackenna to smile and look our direction and Alli ran around corraling Mackenna, and the balloons, and picking up the “ONE” sign that kept getting knocked over one letter at a time by our little one-year-old ballerina.
It wasn’t total mayhem, but Alli probably thought it was! But the resulting adorable one-year-old ballerina photographs made it all worth it!
Cake Eater
Mackenna’s one-year-old portraits concluded with her own birthday cake! These are always some my favorite one-year-old pictures in any first birthday session. You just never know what might happen or how messing things might get. Mackenna didn’t trash her cake, but she did get messy cute!
I also found out that Mackenna is just like her “Uncle Mike” when it comes to cake. She also prefers the cake over the frosting! Good call Mackenna! Mom and dad would dig out cake pieces from under the frosting for her to enjoy.
Thanks for reading about Mackenna’s one-year-old portraits and I hope you enjoy the music video I’ve created too!
