Lake Elmo Inn Event Center Wedding
Joannie and I are pleased to share Matt and Grace’s Lake Elmo Inn Event Center wedding photographs with you! Their wedding was just a couple of weeks ago on a glorious late summer Sunday here in Minnesota! We hit the ground running with photos of their wedding decor, and then the first look for Grace and her father, Elliott. Then it was Matt’s turn to see Grace in her pretty wedding gown. After those tender moments, we captured some nice traditional bridal photos of our future newlyweds in the pretty garden there.

That was followed by Matt’s family photos, many wedding party photos, and then Grace’s family pictures. The whole time, Joannie was capturing a lot of really fun candid wedding photos of just about everyone!

Something New
This was our first time photographing at Lake Elmo Inn Event Center. They have a nice outdoor venue for wedding photos there. There are lots of mature trees encircling what I would guess to be about a half-acre of land. Their pretty outdoor wedding ceremony was held in that area as well.
Presiding over their pretty wedding ceremony was the-one-and-only Tom Armstrong, a retired judge. Joannie and I have worked with Tom on more than one occasion, He’s a great guy and does a fabulous job marring couples.

“Plan B”
Like many brides and grooms in this crazy year of 2020, Grace and Matt were planning a larger celebration with many more of their family and friends in attendance. COVID-19 changed all that. While it still was a really wonderful celebration, for safety reasons, the guest list had to be downsized quite a bit.
So, “Plan B” will be a second celebration next September with a lot more people in attendance! Matt and Grace, I can tell you in all honesty, that Joannie and I are truly looking forward to things getting back to normal for your second party! Amen!

Party #1
After Judge Armstrong had pronounced Matt & Grace as husband and wife, it was time for the celebration to begin! Their Grand March, first dances, a very nice lunch, toasts, and cake cutting all followed. But that wasn’t all. After lunch, most of us returned to the beautiful outdoors for lots of fun candid photos of family and friends, as well as the bouquet and garter tosses. Joannie and I also took quite of few more wedding photos of Matt and Grace at Lake Elmo Inn Event Center.

Before the wedding, we scouted out a couple of fun locations within walking distance of the Lake Elmo Inn Event Center. Right across the street was a pretty field of corn, and about a block away from that was a cool looking warehouse.

Then we concluded with a “Queens request”. A stop at the local playground for some fun wedding photos on the swings.
