Lainey’s Eight-Month Portraits
Yesterday, after many months of planning, tearing down walls, painting, waterproofing the concrete floor, and general reorganizing, our “new” studio camera room was broken in by an adorable little eight-month-old sweetie pie, Miss Lainey.
I had the pleasure of creating Lainey’s eight-month portraits in the company of mom and grandma. It was one of our first sessions in our newly remodeled studio camera room. Miss Lainey is a cute little peanut, and she wasn’t so sure about that “Uncle Mike” guy in his new studio. But she warmed up to me in short order. That was kind of surprising since she’s not a newcomer to our studio.
Lainey’s first appearance here was for her newborn portraits when she just a week old along with her big brother Logan. Lainey also got to meet Santa Clause at The Best Santa Experience back in November along with her brother and cousin Brynlee. Lainey also had her three-month portraits taken here earlier this year too! Oh well, as I said she warmed up to me pretty quickly.
Before and After
I decided to do a “before & after” image here in the blog post to showcase one of my favorite images from Lainey’s eight-month portraits and the retouching treatment that I have to make the image a totally usable one instead of tossed away. Here’s the “before” with just a little bit of baby drool:
And the “after” without any of that stuff and some of my usual “pixie dust” for good measure:
Here are some of the highlights from Lainey’s eight-month portraits. It’s a short music video with a few adorable video clips tossed in there just for fun!
