Heeraj and Shivanie’s Fall Color Engagement Portraits
What a fun, wild and crazy eleven day stretch from October 3rd to the 13th! But what a great time fall colors wise for all of it to happen!
First, there was Rachel & Matt’s beautiful Rush Creek wedding on Friday, October 2nd. Laura & Andy’s pretty St. Joseph The Worker wedding the following day on October 3rd. Shari & Lee’s awesome backyard wedding just three days later on Tuesday afternoon October 6th.
On that Wednesday, I had the pleasure of creating Luke & Ashley’s spectacular fall engagement portraits at Winehaven in Chisago Lakes and also at the beautiful Panola Valley Gardens near Lindstrom, MN.
There are even more fun portrait stories coming soon including Stacey & Nick’s wedding at the Chanhassen Dinner Theater on October 10th (still working on that one), more engagement portrait sessions, several family portraits and some high school senior portraits too! We’re taking photographs faster than we can edit them, and that’s not such a bad thing. Fall is just too short!
The Peak Of Fall Colors
Jumping ahead to October 13th, we have Heeraj and Shivanie’s fall color engagement portraits taken in three fun locations. We started out right here in our very own Portrait Park. The fall colors were just starting to turn here with our sugar maples, so that’s where we began. Very pretty!
Heeraj and Shivanie noticed on our website that we’ve done photographs with airplanes before and wondered where we could do something like that. I mentioned to them that while we don’t actually own an airplane, we do have the Anoka County Airport just a short distance away and maybe we could “borrow” one of the planes there as a prop (no pun intended).
So we drove over there and low and behold we had a nice airplane just kind of sitting there waiting for us. We worked quickly and simply used the plane as a background for just a few images.
I wanted to take them to another fun location before the sun set on us, so we headed over to Long Lake Regional Park in New Brighton, MN to capture some additional fall color engagement photos there.
They also wanted to make a clothing change into some traditional Hindu clothing and I thought we could do that there as well. The images turned out beautiful with the spectacular colors all around us!
We finished up with a few beautiful fall color engagement portraits with the pretty sunset in the background.
Heeraj and Shivanie will be getting married in a two-day, two-ceremony event in the summer of 2017 (yes, 2017) and Joannie & I are looking forward to spending two really fun days with them and their families and friends!
