Nick & Stacey’s Chanhassen Dinner Theater Wedding!
Chanhassen Dinner Theater Wedding
What a fun, wild and crazy eight-day stretch from October 3rd to the 10th! Besides having several engagement portraits, family photos, and high school senior picture sessions that week, we also had four fun weddings in those eight days too! We were (and still are) literally taking photographs faster than we can edit them. Boy, do I wish the fall colors would last a few weeks longer!
First, we had Rachel & Matt’s pretty Rush Creek wedding on Friday, October 2nd. Laura & Andy’s wonderful St. Joseph The Worker wedding the next day on October 3rd. Shari & Lee’s beautiful backyard wedding just three days later on Tuesday afternoon October 6th.
That brings us to wedding number four and the big finale (I’m using stage show terminology since the wedding was actually held on a stage)! Yes, Nick & Stacey had a Chanhassen Dinner Theater wedding and they were actually married on one of the stages there! Cool.
Their wedding highlight music video begins with their first look right in the lobby of the Chanhassen Dinner Theater in front of the fireplace there.
A Stunning Wedding Dress
But before we go any farther, please check out Stacey’s totally unique, beautiful & incredible different wedding dress! We’ve never seen anything like it and we just love it!
Joannie & I took the wedding party & families and we headed to nearby Lake Ann Park for what turned out to be a really beautiful location for the family & wedding party photographs. The fall colors were starting to peak and we took full advantage of it at this quiet and very pretty park by the lake.
There were a couple of fishing docks there (not very close together) which was the perfect opportunity to use our Tamron SP 150-600MM F/5-6.3 Di VC USD lens! The wedding party was at least 100 yards away and that lens did the job! Sweet.
There were pretty wedding photo opportunities just about everywhere we looked!
On Stage
Now it was time to head back to the Chanhassen Dinner Theater so that Nick & Stacey could get married! Their Chanhassen Dinner Theater wedding was something that Joannie & I have never really experienced before, actually on a real performing stage. Kind of cool!
After the ceremony, it was wedding reception time with a fun social hour, dinner and dancing with lots of fun had by all!
Right before dinner, Joannie & I took Nick & Stacey outside just before sunset for our last outdoor images of the day and they’re pretty fun!
Nick & Stacey, thank you for asking Joannie & myself to be your wedding photographers! Your Chanhassen Dinner Theater wedding was so much fun! – M&J
