In honor of their second wedding anniversary, we’re reposting this blog entry from the February 5th, 2011 Dyersville Iowa wedding of Amy and Jeremiah.

From February 2011: We’ve just returned from a destination wedding “road trip” to Dyersville and Dubuque, Iowa! Amy & Jeremiah’s Dyersville Iowa wedding was held at the Basilica of St. Francis Xavier. This farming community in Iowa has some pretty unique attractions going for it. Among them is the “Field of Dreams” movie site from the movie with the same name and this truly beautiful Basilica too!
Dyersville is home to Amy’s family and it was the site of their incredible wedding ceremony! It’s hard to describe how stunning this beautiful church is. Wow!
After the ceremony, we took off with the trolley for some images in the snow and a trip to Dubuque and the Hotel Julien for the reception and dance. The Hotel Julien is a historic site of it’s own too! With a grand staircase, a beautiful ballroom and very well appointed guest rooms.
We had a really great time with you two, your fun families, guests and wedding party too! A big thank you to Amy and Jeremiah for having Joannie and myself as your wedding photographers. We really had a great day celebrating the start of your lives together with you guys!
