Baby Boy Train Engineer Photographs
I wanted to share some of Ryder’s baby boy train engineer photos that I’ve created as his one-year-old portraits. It’s hard to believe our little guy who we affectionately call “Bubba” is already one year old!
As you can see in his birthday cake photo above, our Ryder boy is a very healthy little guy! Besides food (although he doesn’t really like cake for some reason), Ryder also loves trucks and trains!
So “Trains” was the theme for his one-year-old birthday party. That gave grandpa an idea! I decided to have a little fun with the train theme for his one-year-old portraits too! For his birthday party, mommy (Jen) got him the perfect train engineer outfit (although Ryder does not care for the hat) complete with a cute lantern.
“I’ve Been Working On the Railroad”
Actually, the lantern wasn’t there when we first attempted his baby boy train engineer photographs. Grandpa thought we could have him hold on to anything and then replace it with a lantern later. SILLY grandpa! Ryder’s arms and hands were all over the place on the first attempt.
So we found a small train engineer lantern and gave it another try a few days later. Much better this time with no fancy Photoshop skills needed, he held onto it just like a real train engineer would!
Get In, Get Out!
The trick with photographing our little Ryder is to get it done quickly. He’s not one to want to spend any extended time in grandpa’s camera room. Apparently, he has a very busy schedule. We have to get the shot fast or Ryder will definitely let us know that he’s done.
We captured these two train engineer images (and actually a couple more really cute ones) in less than 5 minutes. No, I’m not kidding! I should capture video of an entire session sometime, it would be a pretty short video!
I’ve been having lots of fun creating some pretty cool green screen composite portraits over the past few months and haven’t really been taking the time to share them. This is just one of several that I’ll be sharing in the weeks to come.
