Senior Photos at Saint Anthony Main
Nice fall colors right on the banks of the Mississippi River in downtown Minneapolis.
I’ve got another great bunch of senior images, this time, it’s Lofton’s senior photos at Saint Anthony Main in downtown Minneapolis. While we were at it, I created a couple of nice family portraits for his family as well! All on a beautiful fall afternoon in Minnesota.
Here’s a pretty sweet family photo with some great fall colors in the background!
Lofton is a 2024 senior at Coon Rapids High School. He plays on the football team for a good friend of ours, Head Coach, Nick Rusin! The plan is to have another session on the football field in the coming weeks. We’ll share that in a future post.
It’s All About Location
At Lofton’s session planning meeting, we decided to create his senior portraits at Saint Anthony Main. Lofton really wanted cityscapes as a backdrop for some of his images. Well, there’s no better place for that in the Twin Cites than on the St. Anthony Main side of the Mississippi River!
The Minneapolis skyline serves as the backdrop for Lofton in this senior photo.
He also wanted some fall colors in his senior pics too. And despite the so-so fall colors so far this year (I think the drought has a lot to do with that), I think we still managed to get some great images with some pretty decent colors.
A Bright, Sun-Shiney Day!
As usual, I had my custom-built lighting cart, Lightning McQueen, on hand to assist me in providing good lighting for Lofton. I also used Lightning on all of the family portraits. In fact, the majority of his images were lit with McQueen on this sunny Sunday.

I don’t know what I’d do without that cart! The quality of light that it allows me to achieve in tough lighting situations is amazing!
