Saint Mary’s Coptic Orthodox Church Wedding
It’s time to share some of Sagar and Martha’s pretty Saint Mary’s Coptic Orthodox Church wedding photographs! Their wedding was really a lot of fun and we’re very pleased to share their wedding day story with you.
Their wedding day started and concluded at the Embassy Suites Minneapolis Airport Hotel where Martha and her entourage got ready at in the morning. Later on that evening, their wedding reception, dinner, and dance were held there as well.
Joannie and I arrived and got to work getting photos of Martha’s pretty wedding dress and her accessories as well as some of the activities going on in the bridal suite filled with ladies.

At the same time, the main ballroom was also being prepared, so we took the opportunity to photograph that as well. It’s always nice to get photos of the reception area in pristine condition. By the time we would have returned to the hotel later that evening, it would be full of wedding guests.

Once Martha and the girls were all ready, we took them outside in the hotel’s pretty courtyard for a few fun group photos. Then, back inside, we photographed Martha alone and with each of the girls just outside the main ballroom. Then we all headed off to St. Mary’s for the wedding ceremony.

Saint Mary’s Coptic Orthodox Church Wedding Photos
Upon arriving at St. Mary’s, we got our all of our gear unloaded and ready for the wedding ceremony and all of the family photos that would be taken shortly afterward. We also took the opportunity to capture some candid photos of friends and family just prior to the wedding.
At this point, Martha was “on hold” outside in the limo waiting for the right moment to enter with her dad. Sagar, who at this point hadn’t seen Martha yet, was waiting at the top of the stairs for his bride-to-be. Once dad gave his daughters hand to Sagar, the wedding processional went into motion.

Having just photographed Mina and Kirstina’s wedding ceremony there a few weeks earlier, we had a pretty good idea of what St. Mary’s Coptic Orthodox Church wedding pictures are important. This time, we were much more comfortable being “right in there” during the entire wedding ceremony.

Upon the ceremony’s conclusion, Sagar and Martha took a short drive in the limo to let the church clear out. While they were away, we got set up to take all of the family photographs once they returned.

Wedding Reception at the Embassy Suites Airport
After the family photos at St. Mary’s, everyone headed to the Embassy Suites Minneapolis Airport Hotel for a fun-filled reception, dinner, and dance. The room was packed with family and friends all having a great time! We will be sharing highlights from their wedding reception in the next day or two.
At the conclusion of our wedding photography coverage, we set up for another one of our one-of-a-kind light painted wedding photographs that we’re getting well known for. We’ll be sharing that cool image with you in the coming days as well.
