Long Lake Regional Park Engagement Photos
Wednesday afternoon, I had the pleasure of creating Mina & Kerstina’s Long Lake Regional Park engagement photos. It was a glorious Minnesota summer afternoon! Low humidity, no bugs, a light breeze, and a perfect 80 degrees. It would be impossible to have a nicer day!
We met at the New Brighton Area Historical Society‘s train depot in the center of the park. Then the three of us took a nice leisurely stroll along the walking paths, stopping to take photos with the pretty wooded backdrops. At one point, we also used the train depot as a backdrop. A little while later, Mina and Kerstina posed on the real caboose that’s on display there as well.
Life Is A Beach
Being it was a totally sunny day, I kept them in the shade as much as I could. Lightning McQueen was along with me to help out with the lighting. We even took a walk on the beach at Long Lake! With school out now, the beach was pretty busy with a lot of kids hanging out and enjoying the spectacular day.
The engagement photos on the beach had me a bit concerned from a lighting standpoint. It was so sunny and bright outside, it would have been really easy to have Mina and Kerstina fall into a total silhouette against the brightly lit lake. I used a pair of our MoLight V860II-Canon Speedlight’s to handle the fill lighting very nicely.
We finished up with some cute Long Lake Regional Park engagement photos of our future newlyweds sitting in the grass, not too far from the beach. It was a nice ending to a really nice engagement session.
A Picture Perfect Day
