Dan and Katie’s Lochness Park Engagement Portraits
A couple of weeks ago, I had the pleasure of creating Lochness Park engagement portraits for Dan and Katie. It gave us a chance to create some nice portraits, and to get to know each other better.
That Wednesday was a wonderful fall afternoon in Minnesota. The three of us took a nice relaxed, leisurely stroll around the park. We stopped whenever we saw a good spot for pretty engagement photos. I took creative license and chose to enhance the fall colors in the two featured engagement pictures.
This was the first time that I’ve created engagement portraits at Lochness Park. But a year or two ago, I did create some really pretty family portraits there. Lochness Park is really kind of a hidden gem right here in the north metro. There are lots of mature trees, a small lake with a nice wooden dock, a frisbee golf course, and nice pathways to get around.
Lightning McQueen To The Rescue
I brought Lightning McQueen and a couple of kicker lights with me to help out in the lighting department. They came in very handy to enhance the fall colors and to get good lighting on Dan and Katie. I built Lightning McQueen about a year and a half ago, and I can’t believe I didn’t build something like that about 25 years ago. It makes it so much easier to take better engagement photographs and haul a lot of equipment around on location.
As I love to do in all of my blog posts, I’ve put together a little highlight music video that showcases some of Dan and Katie’s Lochness Park engagement photos for you to enjoy. Thank you so much for taking the time to read about their pretty Lochness Park engagement portraits, and have a great day!
Dan and Katie will be getting married next September at the TPC Twin Cities in Blaine, MN.
