Joe and Becky’s Carlson Towers Wedding Reception

On December 13th, Joe and Becky were married at the Church of St. Anne followed by a truly beautiful Carlson Towers wedding reception!

We closed out the 2014 wedding season with a bang! Joe and Becky asked Joannie and me to photograph their wonderful wedding at the Church of St. Anne in Hamel, MN.

We’ll begin their wedding photography highlights with their first look on the altar at beautiful St. Anne’s. It was a very special moment for them and I think Joannie and I captured it very nicely.

We follow that with lots of wedding photographs of the two of them, with both traditional and some fun photos with our fisheye lens right in the center of the church. In fact, with a good “old-fashioned” traditional church like St. Anne’s and the contemporary architectural design of the Carlson Towers, our fisheye lens got a pretty good workout on this wedding day!

Once we had all of their bridal photos completed, we got busy capturing all of Joe and Becky’s fun family and wedding party portraits on the altar at the Church of St. Anne.

Wedding Ceremony Photos

Then it was time for these two kids to get married! Joe and Becky’s ceremony was really beautiful, filled with lots of music, readings and great moments.

Now that Joe and Becky were married, it was time to have some fun celebrating! On this unseasonably warm December day, that meant lots of fun wedding photographs outside on the front steps of St. Anne’s. I love churches with steps and steeples; they make for great wedding photo compositions and really shine with the fisheye lens!

Joe and Becky’s wedding party are a really fun cast of characters that’s for sure! After our stop on the fronts steps of the church, we stopped by Inn Kahoots, a local watering hole just down the street from St. Anne’s for some “milk and cookies” to relax and celebrate!

A Beautiful Carlson Towers Wedding Reception

Joe and Becky’s wedding photography highlights continue with their fun, stunningly beautiful Carlson Towers wedding reception, dinner, and dance.

The Carlson Towers are one of the most visually stunning wedding venues in the entire Twin Cities area and they even make it prettier in the wintertime by adding lots of beautiful lights just outside the venue. Just beautiful!

Joannie and I had lots of fun on this warm December Saturday, and we spent quite a lot of time outside, even long after the sun had set. We tested the capabilities of our camera equipment that’s for sure, basically shooting in the dark! The results are some really beautiful wedding photos from both inside and outside at their Carlson Towers wedding reception.

Dinner was wonderful, during which dad, the best man and maid of honor and Joe all gave great dinner speeches. After dinner, Joe and Becky cut their wedding cake and then gave dad a special birthday cake too! Then it was time to dance the night away!

The first of our two closing wedding photographs from Joe and Becky’s Carlson Towers wedding reception feature their wedding rings in one of the tree branch table decorations with lots of beautiful twinkle lights and candles off in the distance.

Our finale wedding photo features Joe and Becky sporting sparklers and creating a giant heart shape just outside the Carlson Towers. We took several attempts at creating this fun image and this one is probably my favorite one.

Thank you, Joe and Becky, for an awesome, fun wedding day spent with you two, your families and friends. We hope you love your wedding photography highlights and we look forward to sharing the rest of your beautiful wedding photographs with you soon!

Happy Holidays to you both from Joannie and Michael!
