Here’s some of our favorite Harriet Island Regional Park Engagement Portraits from Jon & Blenda’s wintery engagement session there!
Normally I would have had these images online about three weeks ago, but these images were taken just hours before Joannie & I left for Hawaii to celebrate our 30th wedding anniversary. I edited them on the plane and made several attempts to post this while we were gone. But our hotel internet speeds didn’t allow for me to make their highlight music video in a timely manner (a single image took more than 5 minutes to upload), so it had to wait until we reopened.
Jon & Blenda’s engagement session also fell just a couple of days after our biggest snowfall of the year (so far), so most of their images have a fair amount of fresh snow in them. Joannie & I are happy that you decided to melt most of it while we were in Hawaii. Mahalo (thank you)!
Rice Park In Downtown St. Paul
The title of our blog post says Harriet Island Regional Park Engagement Portraits, but we didn’t just stay there. After sunset, we headed back over the Mississippi River to Rice Park in downtown Saint Paul. The holiday lights display they have there is very pretty. Because of that, Rice Park was really busy on this Thursday night. The Saint Paul Winter Carnival Ice Sculptures were on display as well as a DJ and quite a few people there enjoying the festivities. We managed to find a spot in the corner of the park that didn’t have too many people in the background. But more importantly, it had holiday lights that we could use as their background. Very pretty stuff!
Jon & Blenda will be getting married in front of their families and friends in April at The Happy Gnome in St. Paul, MN and I’ll have the honor of being their wedding photographer that day. I look forward to sharing some of their wedding day images with you then. Aloha!
