Joannie’s father, Frank Pintok passed away peacefully in the presence of his family this afternoon after a long illness.
A proud U.S. Marine and over the road truck driver for well more than 40 years for Our Own Hardware, Wintz and Bay and Bay trucking, Frank logged millions of miles as a trucker.
Frank was a guy who had a real love for the road and remembered just about every small town and truck stop anywhere in the country (especially Montana). Frank would tell his granddaughters “I’ve driven drove more miles backwards than most people drive forward!”
After his trucking days were over, he would sometimes just up and go to Montana, just for the heck of it! Just like you or I would run to the grocery store. No, I’m not exaggerating, he did it more than once!
Frank loved sharing his Marine stories and really enjoyed getting together at Marine reunions all over the country through the years. Frank will be missed by all who knew him.
Our thank you’s to everyone for their thoughts and prayers during this difficult time and to those at Unity Hospital, Health and Rehabilitation of New Brighton and finally the people at Lighthouse in Columbia Heights for taking care of our dad, grandpa, great grandpa and friend.
