Engagement Portraits at Long Lake Regional Park
Just days before we left town for our 22nd annual North Shore Weekend, I had the pleasure of creating Eric & Amanda’s engagement portraits at Long Lake Regional Park in New Brighton, MN.
Actually, we started right at our studio in our Portrait Park and then we headed over to Long Lake Regional Park to finish up.
Eric and Amanda also brought their two cute kids, eight-year-old Keaton and little 18-month-old Sophie. We included them in a few family portraits too. Grandma also came along for the ride, so when the kids were finished up, Keaton and Sophie got to have some fun on the playground while grandma supervised the situation. Eric, Amanda and I continued with the engagement pictures part while they played on this spectacular evening.
A Nice Sunset
We strolled around looking for pretty backgrounds and then moved on to another. The western sky was kind of fun before sunset, so a couple pretty engagement photos were created there. Once we had finished, we walked over to the playground area to see the kids. On the way, there was a large gathering of people having a nice picnic and they toasted the future Mr. & Mrs. with shots of some kind of concoction, they also had a picture taken with Eric and Amanda just for the fun of it!
It was a beautiful Minnesota evening, much better than the multiple rain-outs that had washed us out in the weeks before.
Eric and Amanda will be getting married in just a few weeks at the Minnesota Horse & Hunt Club in October and we’re looking forward to their pretty wedding. Hopefully, we’ll get weather just like this for their special day!
I’ve created a highlight video featuring some of their engagement portraits at Long Lake Regional Park. I decided to go with a rustic theme in honor of their wedding venue. Hope you like it! –M&J
