A’BULAE Wedding Photographs
Two days ago, we shared “Part One” of Ben and Emilee’s A’BULAE wedding photos with you. It included many A’BULAE wedding photographs of everyone getting ready followed by Ben and Emilee’s first look.
We continued with a lot of great wedding photos of their wedding party at nearby Mears Park, including some with a Saint Paul Fire Department firetruck! It concluded with quite a few of the pretty A’BULAE family portraits we created before their wedding ceremony.
A’BULAE Wedding Photographs – Part Two
This is “Part Two” of their wonderful A’BULAE wedding photos! The highlight music video below begins with many wonderful moments from their wedding ceremony on the Broadway Rooftop at A’BULAE. Their A’BULAE wedding ceremony on this bright, sunny April afternoon was presided over by Susan Lee-Wright.
Joannie and I have worked with Susan before and she’s just wonderful! She’s both eloquent and fun, and you can tell that she really enjoys marrying her couples. She even went along with the boys’ shenanigans of “not knowing where the wedding rings were” during the ceremony.
At the conclusion of their wedding ceremony, Mr. & Mrs. Smith lead their wedding guests inside to their celebration at A’BULAE’s Capitol Lounge and Bar! During the reception, Joannie captured candid photos of many of the wedding guests while I photographed the beautiful Saints Ballroom prior to the room reveal.
A Disney Themed Wedding
To say that Emilee, Ben, and Emilee’s family love Disney is somewhat of an understatement! In fact, I think that they do as much Disney, if not more than we do! Joannie and I were able to unintentionally up the game by actually going to Walt Disney World just five days after their wedding. Of course, when we mentioned that to Ben and Emilee, they wanted to know if they could come along too!
Their entire wedding day was full of many Disney touches. Emilee had Disney music in the bride’s suite early in the day and also at their wedding ceremony. One of my favorite Disney songs was played at their wedding ceremony, the title song from the Disney-Pixar short film “Lava”. I really love that movie!
Ben wore Mickey Mouse cufflinks, both Ben and Emilee had Minnie and Mickey Mouse Ears (see below). Many of the decorations, from the guest “Castle” to the Mickey & Minnie cake topper, were also Disney themed.
Emilee’s sister, Caitlin, had more Disney phrases and references than I could even count during her Maid of Honor speech! It was truly a wedding with many Disney touches!
I wrote “Part One” while on our Disney Vacation with Joannie and our beautiful granddaughter Riley at Walt Disney World!
A’BULAE Wedding Reception Photographs
Between the Disney touches and all of the beautiful flowers, the Saints Ballroom at A’BULAE was absolutely stunning! Ben and Emilee, along with their wedding party, were introduced during the Grand March under the expert emcee/Dj leadership of Matthew Rush. Then Ben and Emilee had their first dance as husband and wife before dinner was served.
Joannie and I have worked with Matt on several occasions over the years and he’s truly one of the few really “professional” Dj’s in all of Minnesota. He has also worked for us too! Matt was the emcee and DJ at our daughter Michelle and her husband Ben’s wedding. That pretty much says it all right there!
But right before the dance got underway, another trip to the Broadway Rooftop was in order. It was time for a pretty sunset (and a little fun) with the Minnesota State Capitol in the background. After our short trip to the rooftop, the dancing and partying got going in full swing!
