Two Harley-Davidson Motorcycles
Here’s a cool light painting photography project of two Harley-Davidson Motorcycles! I created this one-of-a-kind image for my friend Erick while on a light painting trip to Brownsville, Texas. Erick told me that these two bikes belong to his girlfriend, Cristal. I must say that she has impeccable taste in Harleys!
On the left, we have a really cool 2025 Harley-Davidson Custom Street Bob. And, on the right, we’ve got her orange 2024 Harley-Davidson Nightster Special. Two amazing bikes at one cool location, the RGV Wing Commemorative Airport (PIL), in Los Fresnos, Texas!

Here’s the final light-painted artwork of the Street Bob and the Nightster Special. Pretty darn cool!
Location, Location, Location!
This was the fourth light painting project I created for Erick. And all four of them were created in just two nights, and all at the RGV Airport! This location is really special. The old hangar (built in the 1930s) is really amazing!
The pretty light-painted image that you see below of his Cessna 182 was created on the first night. You can check out the complete story at this link.
Then, while we were at it, we used the hangar walls and cool doors and windows as the background for the fantastic light painting of Erick’s three Harley-Davidson Motorcycles that you see below! The full story on that cool project can be found at this link.

The finished one-of-a-kind light-painted artwork of Erick’s 3 red-hot Harleys. The image was light-painted at RGV Wing Commemorative Airport (PIL) in Los Fresnos, Texas.
Then, on the second evening, we returned to RGV to create the stunning light painting of Erick’s three Ford Shelby Mustangs that you see below! The amazing vehicles and the incredible sunset from the tarmac are amazing! That story can be found by clicking on this link.
And, since “If it ain’t broke, don’t fix it!”, we created this one-of-a-kind light-painted photograph right there at the same great location! The base of the abandoned Control Tower is the backdrop for these two cool bikes.
Four unique light-painted photographs, two nights, all at one location, and none of them look anything alike! Man, I LOVE what we do!

Light Painting a 2024 Harley-Davidson Nightster Special
The 2024 Harley-Davidson Nightster Special features a liquid-cooled Revolution Max 975T engine. Key upgrades over the standard model include a color TFT display, Bluetooth connectivity, and a passenger pillion.
This Harley is designed for both comfort and performance, with a low seat height, mid-mounted foot controls, and Showa Dual Bending Valve front forks and dual outboard rear shocks. Since I really love orange, I think the paint job is pretty darn cool, too!
There’s Lots More!

Light Painting Two Harleys – The Movie
This project required 38 images to be taken that night. I used 30 of those to create the final artwork with over 71 layers in the final Photoshop Master File. And, as always, we’ve got a “Build Video” of the whole image coming together on our YouTube channel. The link is below:
Still to come, we’ve got two hot Corvette projects created near Tulsa, Oklahoma. And then a Corvette eRay with a Bentley Continental GT that Joannie and I light-painted in Arkansas on that same trip! We also have a surprise project that we created on Route 66. Then, there are a couple of cool aircraft projects in North Carolina!
Thank you so much for reading our story, and have a great day! – M&J
