A Kenworth, a Mack, and a Corvette
Next up, we have a Kenworth, a Mack, and a Corvette, all in one unique light-painted photograph! This is a light painting project with a rather unique combination of vehicles (well, one of them anyway). It’s a truly one-of-a-kind image that was created at Fornengo Forest Products in Danbury, Wisconsin.
This was the third light painting project I created for them over three nights. The first, with six big forest harvesting rigs, was created near Hayward, Wisconsin. As you can see in the cool finished artwork below, this one was a dandy! You can read all about that cool project here.

Here’s the final light-painted photograph! In this amazing image (from left to right) we have a John Deere 948L-II Grapple Skidder, a SERCO 300 Series Loader, a John Deere 2154G Swing Machine with a Pro Pac Delimber, a Tigercat 625E Skidder. a SERCO 300 Series Loader with a 72″ SERCO Saw, and a Tigercat X830E Feller Buncher with a Tigercat 5400 Felling Saw! Pretty cool!
The second project was created the next evening, about 15 miles from Danbury. That one featured a John Deere 1210 Forwarder and a Tigercat H822E Skidder with a Waratah HTH623C Harvester Head. The finished light painting is below. You can read more about this light painting project at this link.

Light Painting a Kenworth, a Mack, and a Corvette – In One Photograph!
The three vehicles in this image are a 2023 Kenworth T880, a 2024 Mack P164T, and a 2006 Corvette Z06. It also features the Fornengo Forest Products Headquarters as the backdrop.
You’re probably asking why is there a 2006 Corvette Z06 in this light painting for a forestry products company. Well, it all comes down to Tim Fornengo. Tim owns the Corvette. His boys and their wives, Josh & Brandie, and Brandon & Tanya, thought this might make for a rather cool Christmas present last holiday season. So they gifted a light painting photography session to Tim! Very nice!
The project took on a life of its own after that. It went from one light painting featuring some of the rigs used in their forestry company to having multiple projects done on-location that featured many of their vehicles! These Metal Prints are going to look incredible adorning the walls at their corporate headquarters!
When I met with Josh back in March to plan things out, somehow Tim’s Corvette was mentioned during the conversation (or maybe I saw a picture of it in Josh’s office). Well, I think you know where that was headed! Since we’ve light-painted nearly 30 Corvettes over the past several years, why not add it to Tim’s light painting? The family talked it over and decided to do just that!
Light Painting a 2024 Mack P164T
The rig on the left is a 2024 Mack P164T. This is a Class 8 truck with a Mack MP8 engine and a mDrive transmission. It’s known for its durable construction and versatility in heavy-hauling applications.
The Mack P164T is pulling a walking floor trailer that hauls wood chips to power plants. A walking floor trailer, also known as a moving floor trailer, uses a hydraulically-powered system of moving slats that help to facilitate the loading and unloading of bulk goods. These slats slowly move to gradually push the cargo in and out of the trailer.
Light Painting a 2023 Kenworth T880
The rig on the right is a 2023 Kenworth T880. It has 510 horsepower and is hauling a load of logs in its bunk trailer. This bad boy can haul up to 52,000 lbs!
Fornengo Forest Products uses this rig, and several others like it, to haul logs to pulp mills and building materials plants. The bunk trailer features “bunks” to support the logs during transport. These trailers are often used for hauling tree-length logs or multiple bunks of cut-to-length material.
Light Painting a 2006 Corvette Z06
The “kids” tell me that Tim’s 2006 Corvette Z06 has very few miles on it. It has a 505-horsepower LS7 7.0L V8 engine, a 6-speed manual transmission, and a hydroformed aluminum frame. The Z06 version also boasts unique body lines, and pretty advanced technology for its time, making it a pretty cool performance car!
Adding this beauty to the light painting photograph looks pretty cool! Since the Corvette is downright tiny compared to the two trucks and trailers, we brought it up front and center, and much closer to the camera. From now on, I think I’m going to refer to this project as “Beauty and the Beasts”!
Sometimes, It Takes a Village
We had quite a crew on-site to watch (and help) with this project. Of course, Tim was there (we needed him to bring his Corvette!). We also had Josh & Brandie, and their son, James, as well as Brandon & Tanya, and their son, Caleb. Also on the scene were Ray & Anne from just down the road. I light-painted their Chevy C10 truck and Trans Am that you see below at their home last fall.
You can read about their cool light painting project here.

Here is the final one-of-a-kind artwork of Ray and Anne’s pair of awesome vehicles! A big thank you to you guys for referring the Fornengo family to us!
It had rained earlier in the day, but thankfully it subsided in time to get this project completed. What was kind of surprising to me was just how dry and dusty it was, even after it had rained. I saved light painting the Corvette for last. But that meant that it was pretty dusty once we got to it. Several of the “crew members” chipped in and re-detailed it in just a few minutes.
On this evening, Caleb was my “Trigger Man”. He was kind enough to follow me around all night long while firing the camera remotely with my iPad Pro. It didn’t take very long for Caleb to understand what I was looking for as we went along. We were a great team! Thanks Caleb!

“Beauty and the Beasts” – The Movie
All told we took 386 images that night, and over 100 of them were used to create the final artwork. As always, we’ve got a short “Build Video” on our YouTube channel that features the images used to complete this cool light painting project in post-production. It also shows how each of those images was used to “build” the final artwork using Photoshop and other programs. The link to the video on our channel is below.
A big thank you to Fornengo Forset Products (Tim, Josh, Brandie, Brandon, Tanya, James, and Caleb) for asking me to create these cool light-painted photographs for you! This was a ton of creative fun for me!
Also a big shout-out to Ray and Anne for referring us to the Fornengo family, we appreciate it very much!
And, spoiler alert, there’s the possibility that there’s still one more “surprise” project to go (if it worked)! Stay tuned. – M&J
