Long Lake Regional Park Wedding Photos

Long Lake Regional Park Wedding Photos

A couple of Saturdays ago, Joannie and I created a lot of fantastic Long Lake Regional Park wedding photos for Mark and Jenna on our way to their wedding ceremony at Vadnais Heights Commons in Vadnais Heights, MN.

Considering the fact that we had thunderstorms all morning long, it was kind of a miracle that we were able to do so. When we arrived at Jenna’s parents home in New Brighton, MN, it was raining quite hard. We got our gear into their home carrying one bag at a time under a golf umbrella.

Thankfully, a short time before we were supposed to go somewhere for Mark and Jenna’s first look and wedding party photos, it had stopped raining and the sun was even trying to pop out.

Getting Ready For The Big Day

Before creating those Long Lake Regional Park wedding photographs, everyone had to get ready first. Mark and the boys got ready downstairs and Jenna and the ladies were upstairs.

Joannie and I started off by light painting some of their small wedding details, including Jenna’s shoes and jewelry, their wedding rings, and their invitation. We also did a separate light painting of just their wedding rings. We’ll share those pretty light paintings and their main light painting in a few days.

Everyone was having a great time and we set out to capture the fun. As we mentioned, by the time they were ready to see each other, it had stopped raining. So we went with “Plan A”, which was to have their first look and then wedding party photos at Long Lake Regional Park, which is very close by Jenna’s parents home.

Off To The Park

We packed up our gear and headed over to the park to set up Lightning McQueen to assist us in lighting everything. We were a little behind schedule, but using Lightning would help us to do everything both better and faster, so we rigged it up and got to work.

The rain went away in time for us to create this pretty wedding photograph of Mark and Jenna on one of the trails at Long Lake Regional Park.

Jenna arrived first and we set her up in a nice spot out of the sun, which was now trying to peek out. Mark’s dad, John, brought him to the park a short time later. Mark was then escorted by Jenna’s sister-in-law, Mackenzie, to see Jenna. They used an umbrella so that he could not see her as he approached.

After their first look, we did a nice series of images of Mark and Jenna before their wedding party arrived via school bus. Considering that we didn’t have a lot of time, we captured an extraordinary amount of great wedding party photos before we headed over to Vadnais Heights Commons to get these two married!

That’s where “Part Two” of Mark and Jenna’s wedding day highlights will begin. We should have that ready in just a few more days.

More To Come

We hope you’ve enjoyed Mark and Jenna’s Long Lake Regional Park wedding pictures and the images leading up to them too. We’ve prepared a cute highlight music video that you can enjoy at the link below.

As mentioned, “Part Two” will be coming up next and will feature their really sweet wedding ceremony at Vadnais Heights Commons, and the wonderful post-wedding celebration afterward.

We’ll also have a pretty cool one-of-a-kind light painted wedding photograph that we created just for them. Thank you for taking time out of your day to read our post and have a good one! – M&J
