Grand Banquet Hall Reception Photos
Last Friday, we shared “Part One” of Brandon and Amy’s wedding day that began at Guardian Angels Church in Oakdale, MN. Now, we’ve got many of their Grand Banquet Hall reception photos to show you.
As we mentioned in our first post, this was not exactly a great day weather-wise, but Brandon, Amy, and their wedding party helped us to make the most of it. When we arrived at The Grand Banquet Hall, Joannie and I quickly unloaded our gear and prepared to hit the streets of Stillwater, MN with Brandon, Amy, and their wedding party.
The Mural
The first Grand Banquet Hall reception photographs we created with Brandon and Amy were just outside of the building. In fact, they were of the outside of the building! On the east-facing outside wall, there’s a cool painted mural that just begs to be part of a wedding photo.
From there we captured a few fun panoramic images of the wedding party just across the street. We didn’t have a lot of time, so we walked about a block away to our granddaughter Riley’s favorite spot in Stillwater, Teddy Bear Park!
Teddy Bear Park
Just outside of Teddy Bear Park, the girls and guys each took turns doing The Beatles, Abbey Road. Then we headed into the park for some more great images of the whole wedding party. Because it was so cold out, we cut the wedding party loose to head back to the reception while Brandon and Amy stayed back with Joannie and myself for some pretty fall color wedding photos of just the two of them.

Shortly after returning to The Grand Banquet Hall, the Grand March was up next. That was followed immediately by Brandon and Amy’s first dance in the center of the pretty ballroom under the huge stained glass dome. The Grand Banquet Hall is really is a unique building for a wedding reception, dinner, and dance. It would be fun to light paint it sometime.
A great Italian buffet dinner was followed by a packed dance floor all night long. Brandon and Amy’s second music video has many of these Grand Banquet Hall reception photos and a lot more. We hope you’ll take a few minutes to watch it.
One More Thing
Joannie & I had one more trick up our sleeves. Another one of our one-of-a-kind light painted wedding photographs. I’m still working on it, but the story and location behind this one is kind of fun. We’ll be sharing that with you once their light painting is all completed. In the meantime, thank you for reading our post and we hope you have a great one! – M&J
