Deglman Farm Wedding Reception

Matt and Nicole’s Deglman Farm Wedding Reception

This is “Part Two” of our wedding photography coverage for Matt and Nicole at their Deglman Farm wedding reception in Princeton, Minnesota. Over the years, Joannie and I have seen more than a few farm weddings. Well, this one pretty much takes the cake in that category! What a fantastic wedding venue!

In our first blog post about their wonderful wedding day, we featured many of the fun images leading up to their pretty wedding ceremony at Deglman Farm. Those special moments included getting ready, their first look, family photos, and lots of fun wedding party photos as well.

“Part One” concluded with their unique wedding ceremony which began with a very unusual processional. The wedding party rode in on wagon pulled by a farm tractor! If that wasn’t different enough, Dan Bradley, the gentleman who would be marrying them, drove up the aisle on his Harley Davidson motorcycle! Told ya this one was unique!

The Social Hour

At the conclusion of their pretty wedding ceremony, it was time to celebrate! Joannie and I captured lots of candid wedding photos of Matt and Nicole’s wedding guests having a great time. Many of those fun candid wedding photos are in their second music video at the bottom of this blog post. Oh, yeah, we also created more awesome wedding party photos at the barn and some really pretty wedding photographs of our newlyweds too!

Dinner and Dancing

Dinner, toasts, and their wedding cake cutting were all held in a large tent (yes, this is a big wedding venue!). Just outside of the tent, there was a fun taco bar with all of the fixings that were catered by Chef John Politte. After dinner, we all enjoyed tasty wedding cupcakes for dessert.

Their wedding dance was up next, held up on the second floor of the barn. While at the same time, wedding guests could hang out outside at the outdoor bar on what turned out to be a really nice evening outside. You could also enjoy roasting marshmallows at the large fire pit all night long. Really cool!

Thank you, Matt & Nicole!

A big thank you to Matt and Nicole for having us as your wedding photographers. We really enjoyed hanging out with you all day (and night) long! We hope you’ve enjoyed our sneak peek into your wedding reception photos at The Historic Deglman Farm as much as we enjoyed creating them for you.

Just One More Thing

But Joannie and I have one more trick up our sleeves.

With all of the interesting items on display at Deglman Farm, we just had to create a one-of-a-kind light painted wedding photo for Matt and Nicole. Deciding what and where was the hardest part!

After consulting our newlyweds, we selected a really cool location (see the image below) for their one-of-a-kind light painted wedding photograph. It doesn’t look very special now but just wait until you see their completed light painting. We’ll be sharing that with you in the days to come.

In the meantime, here’s another fun music video with many more of their Deglman Farm wedding reception photographs. Thank you for reading our blog post and have a great one! – M&J
