Urban Growler Brewing Company Wedding
On Saturday, June 23rd, Joannie and I had the honor of creating the Urban Growler Brewing Company wedding photos for John and Jennie. Their wedding was a nice change of pace from our last few weddings in that there was no rain all day long!

We actually began their wedding day with wedding photos of everyone getting ready at The Saint Paul Hotel. Jennie’s dad also had his first look with his pretty daughter in one of the hotel rooms.

A short time later in the hotel lobby, John and Jennie were reading letters that they wrote to each other. Then John saw Jennie for the first time on the beautiful winding staircase. It was a very cute moment for us to capture for them.

Wedding Photos at the James J. Hill Library
Photos of John and Jennie in The Saint Paul Hotel Garden was the next stop before heading over to the nearby James J. Hill Library with the wedding party. It’s hard to believe that a garden as pretty as this is growing right there in downtown St. Paul, MN!

As I mentioned earlier, there was no rain all day long, but it also was a very sunny day. Since it faces north, the James J. Hill Library offers great protection from direct sun, and it’s a really great background for wedding photos.

After creating a lot of photos of the wedding party, and also many images of John and Jennie, both families were on the scene next. We were able to capture pretty much every conceivable family portrait combination before heading to the Midway area of St. Paul for their Urban Growler Brewing Company wedding!
Upon arrival at the Urban Growler, the wedding party got all settled in, and we got our gear all unloaded and ready for the ceremony and social hour that would follow. There was also enough time to create some great Urban Growler Brewing Company wedding pictures in a couple of fun outdoor locations right there.

John and Jennie Get Married!
The moment that John and Jennie had been waiting for had finally arrived! It was time for their Urban Growler Brewing Company wedding ceremony. It was a very cute ceremony, filled with laughter and a lotta love. And before you knew it, John and Jennie were Minnesota’s newest newlyweds! Sweet!

A really fun social hour followed, with a receiving line, snacks, and samples of several of the Urban Growler’s house-made brews. The whole time, Joannie and I worked the room getting candid wedding photos of many of their guests.
Then we headed off to the Science Museum of Minnesota, the site of their pretty wedding reception, dinner, and dance. That’s where we’ll pick it up in “Part Two” in the days ahead. We should have that ready very soon.
