Josh’s Saint Anthony Main Senior Portraits
We’ve got another senior photo session to share with you. This time, it’s time for one of the boys!
Josh – The Class of 2018.
I had the pleasure of creating Josh’s Saint Anthony Main senior portraits the night after we returned from our 22nd annual North Shore Weekend. It was a glorious evening on the banks of the Mississippi River in downtown Minneapolis. There were people all over the place enjoying a really beautiful Minnesota summer night.
It was a far cry from the rain-outs we had experienced in the weeks before. It was just perfect outside on this occasion, and Josh finally got his senior portraits created.
Josh is a 2018 senior and plays soccer and baseball at St. Croix Falls High School. He was informed during his senior portrait session that he had been selected as one of his school’s soccer team captains, that was pretty cool!

As you can see, Josh is a good looking guy, and I can tell you that he’s a really nice guy too! Josh, his mom, Bridget, and I had a great time as we walked all over the riverfront, creating his Saint Anthony Main senior portraits.
I had “Lightning McQueen” along to help in the lighting department. Bridget was nice enough to hold one of our MoLight V860II-C Speedlights on a long light stand as a hair light when we needed it.
Joannie & I had the honor of photographing Bridget & Mike’s wedding way back in 1995! I think it’s pretty cool that nearly every senior picture session we’ve done this year is a kid from one of our past brides and grooms. All six of our “north shore senior portraits” this year have that “past bride & groom” connection too. Nice!
Stone Arch Bridge
Both Josh and mom wanted to check out the Stone Arch Bridge. Very often, the famous Minneapolis bridge is pretty crowded, so I prepared them for what might happen. But to my surprise, we found a couple nice openings in the bridge traffic. Enough to make a couple of very nice senior photos, complete with the main light coming from “Lightning McQueen” and everything!
