More Of The Best Wedding Photographs of 2012!

Joannie and I really have an advantage as a husband and wife wedding photography team in that we can be in two places at once and have a guy and girls’ perspective simultaneously in our wedding photographs. Here’s a prime example, I’m with the guys at the back of the firetruck and Joannie’s with the girls at the front!

This two page spread is again from the wedding of Pam and “Dan the Fireman” from last October. More of their amazing wedding day can be seen here. Here’s some new photographs of the wedding party posing and having fun on one of the Vadnais Heights Fire Department fire engines.

A fire engine is such a great “prop!” I’ve got to get me one of these for the studio! If anyone has one just lying around, please give me a call at 763-785-1177!

From here we headed off to the ceremony site at Black Bear Crossings on the Lake at Lake Como in St. Paul. Pam and Dan are a really fun bride and groom with great families and an awesome wedding party. We had a blast!

From St. Paul we move on to yet another great wedding. This time it’s another destination wedding, the destination Red Wing, Minnesota. Ok, it’s not Hawaii, but it’s still a pretty cool location. Mikey and Dani were married there on a beautiful, warm Saturday in June at First Lutheran Church in historic Redwing, MN.

Again as a husband and wife wedding photography team we can be in two places at once. Joannie is with girls on one side of the train depot and I’ve got the boys at the other side. Here’s the two page spread with those two photographs combined with the entire wedding party as well.

The next wedding album spread is one of my favorite wedding party images of the last couple years! The whole “tiny” wedding party is “On The Rails” in downtown Red Wing. In Photoshop, I boosted the overall contrast and added a black and white conversion layer and reduced it’s opacity to let just a bit of color show through. This is one of my favorite effects for “urban wedding” images.

The inserted image of the newlyweds was used in their thank you cards. Shortly after this wedding photograph was taken, Mikey and Dani took off in a Mustang “Muscle Car” for their reception, dinner and dance at Treasure Island Resort and Casino. The big highlight of the evening was dancing to The Rockin’ Hollywoods all night long! Very cool.
