Harriet Place Wedding

Samantha and Ian’s Harriet Place Wedding

Joannie and I had the honor of photographing Samantha and Ian’s Harriet Place wedding last Saturday evening. This was an extra special wedding for us because we’ve known Samantha (or Sammy as I call her) since she was a little girl. What a thrill it was for us to be among the 25 or so wedding guests there to witness the two of them getting married!

I’ve always been “Uncle Mike” to Sammy, and Joannie and I were very close to her amazing mom, Karen. While we all miss her terribly, I truly believe that Karen was looking down on all of us last Saturday with much happiness and joy in her heart.

Intimate and Upscale

This was the first time that we’ve created wedding photography at Harriet Place. Considering that its right in the middle of a cute neighborhood, it still offers nice photo opportunities both indoors and out.

We began with photographs of Ian and Sammy, followed by photographs of both families. As a sign of the current times, we photographed several of the groups both with and without masks. Ian and Sam had masks for everyone that had their names and “I do!” foil stamped on them.

It was a cool, overcast evening with very light winds which made it very nice to be outside. When Ian and Sammy’s wedding guests began to arrive, Joannie and I captured candid wedding photos from that point on.

Outdoor Wedding Ceremony

Ian and Sammy’s wedding ceremony was intimate and sweet with the two of them surrounded by all of their family and friends. Their good friend, Kier Palmer- Klein, officiated over their ceremony. Kier did a very nice job of keeping it light and fun. And before you knew it, Ian and Sammy were husband and wife! Nice!

The Video

I’ve put together a little music video with a bunch of their Harriet Place wedding photos for you to enjoy. As mentioned earlier, Joannie and I are both thrilled and honored to have witnessed your wedding with you guys! Thank you Ian and Sammy for inviting us and we wish you nothing but the best in your lives together! – “Uncle” Mike & Joannie
