I had the opportunity to crash the baby shower for Jen and “Baby iKelly” on Sunday!
The event was held in the wonderful party room at Michelle’s apartment. Actually, I was invited at the last minute by the guest of honor, so I grabbed my camera and off we went.
Our Michelle knows how to plan a party (or anything else for that matter), the attention was in the small details and there were lots of them! As a future Grandpa, I want to thank Michelle publicly for all her hard work in pulling off a wonderful party for her sister and her future niece. I also want to thank my amazing wife Joannie, Megan Murray, Lindsey Olson and Nora Austin for all their work in helping Michelle throw a wonderful celebration for our Jen and Baby iKelly.
Now, before I go too far here; a little explanation is needed. The baby’s name is apparently some “TOP SECRET” thing that only Jen, Ben and The Pentagon are privy of. The only thing we know is that there’s a letter “i” in her name. They won’t let us buy any consonants or vowels, so “iKelly” it is for now. Steve Jobs and Apple would be proud.
As a guy, baby showers are not supposed to “be cool” but you know there’s food, drinks, cake (a pretty important item right there), lots of pretty girls (especially my three), many of my good friends and presents too! What’s not to love about all that?
