The Knot Best of Weddings 2021
Joannie and I have some exciting news to share! We’ve been selected as recipients of The Knot Best of Weddings 2021!
9 years in a row and 12 out of the last 14 years!
That’s nine straight years for us!
2021 also marks the 12th time in the past 14 years that we have been selected as recipients of The Knot Best of Weddings award.
2020 Was One To Remember (or maybe forget?)
Due to COVID-19, the 2020 wedding season was about as weird and wacky as it could ever be. All of our weddings through July were rescheduled or postponed until this year. The silver lining was that we were able to reschedule each of those weddings without any conflicts!

Since both The Knot and WeddingWire base winning their wedding awards on reviews from actual weddings, I thought there was little to no chance of us receiving any wedding awards at all this year.
Then came September.

We had a burst of wedding activity in a very short period of time, including 4 weddings in 8 days! Nearly all of them were smaller or scaled back weddings, but really only from an attendance standpoint. Each one of them was really fun to be a part of!

I’m not sure if it was just because it was just nice to do something “normal”, but it sure was awesome to be a wedding photographer once again!

2020 – What A Year!
As we mentioned earlier, in order to be selected for The Knot Best of Weddings 2021, there are some important things that need to happen.

First off, you need to have some weddings! Then, those couples, (their family members & wedding party), need to share reviews with The Knot. To qualify, you need quite a few of these reviews to be considered for the award as well.

Well, we’re very grateful to our couples for “going to bat” for us, especially in the challenging year that was 2020. Thanks to them, we were able to garner enough wonderful reviews to be selected once again for 2021. Thank you to each and every one of you for doing that for us!
