Senior Photos at Fogerty Ice Arena

We got some of Aaron’s “cool” senior photos at Fogerty Ice Arena to share with you! These aren’t your ordinary senior photos or even hockey pictures for that matter. Since Aaron’s a hockey goalie, they’re just a bit different than most hockey players. After all, there are only two goalies on the ice during a game, but lots of other players.

We were at Fogerty Ice Arena on one of the hottest days of the year. When we started, it wasn’t too bad outside. While photographing Aaron’s session, I was sometimes laying on the ice, so I was wearing jeans and a jacket. When we finished up, I took my first load of gear to the car, I couldn’t believe how hot it had become outside! The heat index was almost 100 degrees! My jacket remained in the car at that point for the second equipment trip.

The Puck Stops Here

We had an hour of “ice time” for Aaron’s senior portraits at Fogerty Ice Arena. So after I got my gear set up and Aaron got suited up, we got to work. I photographed Aaron in a variety of ways, and his brother Nate helped us out by shooting pucks at his brother for our action shots.

We finished up with some great images at center ice (at the top of the post) with the scoreboard all lit up featuring 2021 tidbits put up there by Aaron’s mom in the scorer’s booth. It was kind of a family affair. At the conclusion of our ice time, we set a date for Aaron’s outdoor photos in downtown Anoka, Minnesota. Those images are up next.

Senior Photos in Downtown Anoka

Our evening in Anoka was very nice. It was warm, but not out of control. As always, I had Lightning McQueen along for much-needed fill light. We began taking images near Serum’s and then walked all over the place taking great senior photos at multiple locations. The family dog, Max, was along too, and we added “Maxi” to a couple of Aaron”s images in the park along the Rum River.

The City of Anoka has done such a great job remodeling the area along the riverfront. The park and riverwalk are really beautiful there. We concluded Aaron’s senior photos on the south side of Main Street with some nice images in his Totino Grace Cross Country uniform. Some of those images are featured in Aaron’s highlight video at the bottom of the post.

One More Thing…

I’ve put together a nice music video with many more of Aaron’s senior pictures taken at Fogerty Ice Arena and some of the images created in downtown Anoka as well. It’s found at the link below on our YouTube Channel. Thank you for reading our post and have a great day! – M&J
