Riley, Ryder, and The Santa Experience
What a fun, wild and crazy weekend we just had! We had lots and lots of kids and their families at our studio over the weekend to visit Santa’s Workshop. Altogether, we had well over 70 people were here to visit with Santa Claus in his workshop. Every one of them got to witness first hand, The Santa Experience!
These first images and music video feature our very own grandchildren, beautiful four year old Riley, and her adorable little brother Ryder. They both enjoyed The Santa Experience!
As many of you know, Joannie & I have been creating light paintings this year at many of our weddings. I’ve also done a couple of light painted engagement portraits, and some other things that we’ll be sharing soon. Joannie & I are the only light painting wedding photographers in the world that create full scene light paintings at weddings.
Well, when I had completed the finishing touches on Santa’s Workshop for “The Santa Experience” last week, I thought to myself, “I should light paint this.” So I did. The goal is to make the set even more magical. The question was, could I blend the light painting with real kids and Santa Claus after The Santa Experience had ended.
I think I pulled it off pretty well!
Santa’s Workshop for Cystic Fibrosis
Our 2017 “Santa’s Workshop” themed portraits are helping us to raise money for Cystic Fibrosis. Our Session Fee of $75 is being donated entirely to Cystic Fibrosis, with our wonderful clients writing their checks directly to CF.
In addition, Joannie & I will be donating a portion of their custom print orders to CF as well. It’s our small way of helping to find a cure for Cystic Fibrosis.
Our godchild, Lindsey, has Cystic Fibrosis. In October of 2016, Lindsey received a double lung transplant at the University of Minnesota Hospital in Minneapolis. We’re happy to report that Lindsey has recuperated very nicely and is enjoying life again with her new lungs.
So once again this year, all of the monies we raise this year will be given to Cystic Fibrosis in Lindsey’s honor. Let’s hope they can find a cure for CF soon!
During each fun-filled Santa photo session, kids got to visit with Santa Claus in his workshop for about 30 to 45 minutes while reading books, working on toys, singing songs and hanging out with Kris Kringle. Santa gave presents to each child, and there were treats for young and old alike to enjoy while they were here. We’ve got Santa coming back this weekend for “Storytime with Santa” and it should be a lot of fun too!
Lot’s more of The Santa Experience coming in the weeks ahead.
Our “Santa’s Workshop” photographs will be cherished for generations to come. – M&J
