I had a wonderful evening last night creating Kevin & Megan’s engagement photography in Minneapolis, MN!
I really love creating engagement photography in Minneapolis! Especially all along this area near the Guthrie Theater, the Mill City Museum and the Mississippi River waterfront. There’s just one great engagement (wedding, high school senior, family and kid’s too) photo location after another!
Guthrie Theater Engagement Photos
I met Kevin & Megan by the front doors of the Guthrie Theater and we set out to have some fun creating their engagement portraits all over the area. We started in the grassy knoll right by the Guthrie Theater. Then we walked down towards the Mill City Museum. That whole area has lots of awesome brick walls, stairways, and doorways that make for great engagement photos.
I didn’t tell them while we were shooting, but I carried our new Canon 5D Color Infrared camera along on this beautiful, warm evening in downtown Minneapolis, MN. It was mostly cloudy, which limits the amount of near-infrared light, but I wanted to experiment a little bit on a non-wedding assignment. I’m pretty happy with the results too!
A Faithful Blog Reader
It was later on while we were enjoying a drink and a bite to eat at Spoonriver, that I found out that Kevin’s been reading our blog faithfully. He knew right away when I started talking about this new camera I had along. He said something like “do you mean your new infrared camera?”
It’s nice to know all the hard work I do blogging gets read by our clients not just by Google!
We really had a great time together laughing and having fun creating all of these pretty engagement portraits together.
Thank you, Kevin & Megan, for a really fun time and even more for asking Joannie and myself to be your wedding photographers next May!
