I’m very pleased to share the highlights of Carlos & Jackie’s Historic Concord Exchange wedding held on New Year’s Eve in South St. Paul, MN.
I closed out 2015 in fine style with Carlos, Jackie and many of their family & friends on New Year’s Eve for their pretty Historic Concord Exchange wedding.
The Historic Concord Exchange truly is historic; opening all the way back in 1887. This is such a cool building and a great place to get in shape if you’re a wedding photographer! My iPhone told me that I did 58 flights of stairs that day, much of it with full wedding gear! It made me glad that I actually do work out.
Carlos & Jackie’s Historic Concord Exchange wedding day began with everyone arriving and getting ready in some of the beautifully appointed rooms on the fourth floor at this architecturally wonderful building.
The First Look
Once both Carlos & Jackie were both ready, their first look happened down on the third floor with some awesome natural window lighting to light the scene. Right after their first look, I kept them in that spot for their formal portraits alone and together and a few wedding candid photos too.
Then we ventured to the awesome square spiral staircase for some fun with both our Canon 15mm 2.8 fisheye lens and some 200mm telephoto lens images too. Very cool.
The main ballroom on the first floor was our next stop. All of the family and wedding party portraits were done there, right in the very spot that they would be married at in an about an hour!
The Historic Concord Exchange Wedding Ceremony
Wedding guests began arriving, so it was time to hide “The Queen.” Their Historic Concord Exchange wedding ceremony was next up. It was a pretty cute wedding ceremony too, which also included a “Sand Ceremony” with their kids. Nice!
After the receiving line concluded, Carlos, Jackie & I headed to downtown St. Paul and Rice Park for a quick photography stop under the pretty holiday lights that Rice Park is famous for!
Then it was back to the Historic Concord Exchange for a nice dinner, toasts and dancing to bring in the new year!
A big thank you to Carlos & Jackie for asking me to be a part of your wedding day with you! I enjoyed working with you and creating your wedding photographs for you both. I’m wishing you, your families and friends a very Happy New Year!
