Bentley and a Corvette E-Ray

Light Painting a Bentley Continental GT Speed and a Corvette E-Ray

The behind-the-scenes setup photo of a red 2016 Bentley Continental and a red 2025 Corvette E-Ray prior to light painting them.

Here’s what the scene looked like once we got everything all set up. The image on our iPad Pro shows the actual image capture from our Canon R5 camera.

Up next, we have a stunning light painting of two wonderful automobiles, a 2016 Bentley Continental GT Speed and a 2025 Corvette E-Ray! Joannie and I had the pleasure of creating this beautiful artwork for Lee and Heidi down in Hot Springs, Arkansas.

Here’s what the camera saw. Then, once it got dark enough, Joannie and I went at it, taking 289 images to create their final one-of-a-kind artwork!

This was the second light painting project that we’ve created for them. The first one was back in 2023. I had the opportunity to create that one while at Corvettes in Paradise, held annually in late April by the Lake of the Ozarks Corvette Club (LOCC).

On that amazing trip, I light-painted their red-hot Torch Red 2023 C8 Corvette Stingray at Seven Springs Winery in Lynn Creek, Missouri!

Red and red-hot! Lee and Heidi’s C8 Corvette was the very first C8 that we light-painted. What a great way to get started on that awesome body style!

That was the very first C8 Corvette that I’d ever light-painted (and it would not be the last). As you can see above, I definitely got off on the right foot with that one!

2025 Oklahoma & Arkansas Light Painting Trip

This light painting project was the fourth one on our trip to Oklahoma and Arkansas in late August. The first, a stunning 2015 Corvette Z06, turned out amazing! You can see that pretty image, some fun Route 66 photos, and its full story by clicking on this link.

The second project was also amazing! It was of a Long Beach Red 2016 Corvette Z06 and a beautiful mansion! Not only that, but we created three other light paintings of that amazing Corvette while we were at it! One of the cool engine bay, another of the interior, and then we finished off with one of the rear too! Please check out the full story, with both before and after images, plus two Build Videos at this link.

In between, Joannie and I light-painted a cool vintage Texas Station, the home of Gearhead Curios, in Galena, Kansas. Since we did that one as a personal project, we won’t do the post-production on that one until we get caught up on client projects. But I’m confident that it will be a beautiful image upon completion.

Light Painting a 2016 Bentley Continental GT Speed

Lee and Heidi’s 2016 Bentley Continental GT Speed is a high-performance luxury grand touring car. It’s powered by a 6.0-liter twin-turbocharged 12-cylinder engine that produces 633 horsepower. It can go from 0 to 60 mph in 3.9 seconds and has a top speed of 206 mph!

Both of these cars were the first of their kind that we’ve ever light-painted. Here’s a close-up of the Bentley!

This fabulous automobile features an all-wheel-drive system, an 8-speed automatic transmission, and is available as both a coupe and a convertible.

The GT Speed rides on 275/35 ZR21 Pirelli tires on all four wheels, and has an adaptive air suspension, set 0.4 inches lower with stiffer springs and bushings, and 15% more front-end camber for improved handling. It also features vented disc brakes with 16-inch rotors on the front and 13.2-inch rotors on the rear, with red Bentley calipers.

Light Painting a 2025 Corvette E-Ray with Callaway Supercharger and Exhaust

Zooming in close, we have our first-ever light painting of an E-Ray with a Callaway Supercharger!

Lee and Heidi’s 2025 Corvette E-Ray has a Callaway Supercharger and exhaust system. The Callaway Supercharger Kit includes a 2.9L twin-screw Gen4 supercharger and TripleCooled intercooler. It brings the total horsepower of the standard 6.2L V-8 gasoline engine to 687, with 643 pound-feet of torque.

When you combine that with the E-Ray’s 160-horsepower electric motor, the total output reaches a whopping 847 horsepower! The Callaway Double-D Exhaust provides a very distinct sound (it purrs like a kitten – a really BIG kitten), and is designed to work seamlessly with the supercharged system.

Here’s Lee and Heidi’s finished artwork! Our first-ever Bentley! And, for that matter, it’s our first E-Ray too!

Bentley and a Corvette E-Ray – The Movie

As always, we’ve got a short Build Video on ur YouTube channel with the images that I used to create their cool one-of-a-kind artwork. All in all, Joannie and I took 289 images that night! And I ended up using 107 of those (in 152 layers) to make the final Master File using Photoshop and other programs. The link to view it is below:
