The Saint Paul College Club Wedding of Clint & Gretchen
Joannie and I had the honor of being the wedding photographers for Clint and Gretchen last Saturday on a glorious summer day in Minnesota!

We began as we do at many weddings with some getting-ready images of Gretchen & Clint. Actually, when we arrived, they both were pretty much ready to go, and we arrived early! We still took a few fun images of them in their respective getting-ready rooms and then set out to set up their first look in front of the historic mansion.
Gretchen’s mom and dad also got a first look with their daughter moments after Clint did, and we were off to a great start for the day! Portraits of the cute couple were up next, including our very first infrared wedding photos of the year. It hasn’t been a good wedding season for infrared photos, way too many cloudy days. So it was nice to give to a whirl.

We followed that with family portraits and wedding party photos in front of and also in the pretty “backyard” shortly before their Saint Paul College Club wedding ceremony there.
Clint & Gretchen’s outdoor ceremony was very pretty with a very nice personal message from Paula Mehmel and before you knew it, we had Minnesota’s newest married couple! Nice!
A casual receiving line and social hour followed. All of the young kids in attendance had lots of fun with the ceremony decorations on the lawn. A very pretty wedding reception, a delicious dinner, and dancing followed. I think everybody had a pretty fun time celebrating with Clint & Gretchen!
The World’s Only Light Painting Wedding Photographers
Joannie & I had one more trick up our sleeves. We decided that this awesome venue was deserving of a light painted wedding photograph. So shortly before dark, we brought the newlyweds out front of the mansion and we worked our magic. Light painting wedding photography is a challenging undertaking, but when you get results like this, it’s totally worth it!
