Joannie & I once again had another beautiful wedding to photograph. This time it was Noah & Anna’s pretty Rush Creek Wedding!
On Saturday, August 27th, Noah & Anna tied the knot on a romantic, foggy, overcast day with a little drizzle (during their Rush Creek wedding ceremony) mixed in there for good measure. Yes, another wet wedding day. Thankfully, it was nothing like Steve & Kaitlin’s soggy Superior Shores wedding the week before!
It was dry most of the day (even though it didn’t look like it was going to be) and in fact, the skies actually cleared a couple hours after their ceremony, which allowed us to capture a pretty sunset for them. Ya gotta take the bad with the good sometimes.
This was yet another fun wedding party to hang out with and we did have some fun with them, including a spin-off of a wedding photograph that we do often with our brides and their bridesmaids (above). This time it was the boys and their Budweiser’s (instead of bouquets) behind their back (below). It is said that Budweiser does have a nice bouquet (maybe not exactly the “bouquet” the flowers have)!
A Picture Perfect Wedding Day
Wedding photography wise, the skies were overcast all day long which is really nice from a lighting standpoint. We used “Lightning McQueen” all around the clubhouse before and after their Rush Creek wedding ceremony to supplement the overcast skies with a little fill light.
Noah and Anna’s Rush Creek wedding ceremony was very special and quite pretty as the fog and light drizzle gave the whole scene a surreal feeling. It was officiated beautifully by Noah’s uncle, Kelly Becker. He added a nice personal touch to the whole ceremony, with lots of humor and fun stories tossed in there for good measure. Just like any uncle would do!
After these two were pronounced husband & wife, it was time to celebrate with food, drinks, and games on the patio at Rush Creek. We took lots of candids of guests, the pretty dining room decor and then took a little stroll to the famous bridge at Rush Creek with just Noah & Anna.
Dinner and the dancing followed, but not before we got a pretty nice sunset as the western skies cleared. A very nice ending to another beautiful Rush Creek wedding!
Anna & Noah, thank you for including us as a part of your Rush Creek wedding day. We had such a great time with you, your families, friends and wedding party. We’ll see you soon when we start to plan your wedding album! In the meantime, enjoy some of our favorite images in the highlight music video we’ve created from your beautiful wedding images! –M&J
