The fun highlights from Lee & Shari’s backyard wedding held at sunset on Tuesday, October 6th!
During one of our busiest (and prettiest) Octobers ever, and our third wedding in just five days, Lee and Shari were married at sunset in a beautiful backyard wedding ceremony. The historic event was witnessed and celebrated with about 50 family, friends and neighbors right there at their pretty home in Brooklyn Park, MN .
Yes, Lee and Shari did get married on a Tuesday and there’s a pretty good reason why. It was on October 6th, 22 years ago that they started dating each other! No sense rushing into anything I guess.
This was a really beautiful wedding with the two of them exchanging their vows just as the sun was setting on a perfect October Tuesday. But before all that happened, I had the opportunity to create their wonderful wedding photographs in this really awesome backyard.
Their wedding highlight video begins with Lee and Shari having their first look just outside their own backdoor. The very cute moment included Shari pinning Lee’s flower on his lapel.
Then I had the opportunity to take wedding photos in several locations including their wildflower garden (which actually includes cactus!) and by the pretty pond right there in their backyard. As you can see, our Canon 5D Super Color Infrared Camera also got some work in this pretty outdoor space too!
Family members began arriving and they got into the act with lots of family portraits in many combinations including one with Lee & Shari’s two dogs. Once the posed wedding photos concluded, it was time for their guests to start arriving. There you’ll find some fun candids of that fun and crazy crew mixed in there too.
Sunset Wedding Ceremony
Then, a few minutes before sunset, we brought everyone to the backyard for a group shot of the whole crew in attendance. Just a few moments later the ceremony began right there at the sundial in Lee & Shari’s wildflower garden. So after 22 years together, Lee and Shari were actually married! Cool!
At the conclusion of their backyard wedding ceremony, it was time to celebrate! There were lots of libations and some photos with sparklers. Then a unique and really tasty dinner which was served by the Gastro Truck! Sweet!
Lee & Shari, thank you for making me a part of your “historic” backyard wedding! I had a great time with you two and all of your family and friends. I’m looking forward to creating a great keepsake wedding album for you both. It will be something special for you to enjoy for the next 22 years!
