Engagement Portraits Taken in a Snowstorm
Here are some of my favorite images from Stephanie & Kevin’s pretty engagement portraits taken in a snowstorm last Sunday afternoon.
When we talked about doing their engagement photos, they told me that they wanted to have a snowy, wintery look. Well, the way this crazy winter was going, it looked like that wasn’t going to happen. Low and behold, the weatherman finally got it right. The cool thing (no pun intended) was that we got to create their engagement portraits taken in a snowstorm!
Earlier in the week, while we waited to find out if there really would be snow, we talked about locations. We came up with the St. Anthony Main area of downtown Minneapolis, MN. We initially tried to work under one of the bridges to keep hair dry. Well on this Sunday, only staying indoors could have made that happen. Snow was coming down in all directions! Be careful what you wish for!
Let It Snow!
We walked all over St. Anthony Main and selected locations that looked great with downtown in the snowy background. We found another spot to showcase their “Save The Date” sign. Then we headed over to the Stone Arch Bridge to check out the view of downtown Minneapolis, MN. Well, as you can see below, you can barely see it! It was snowing pretty hard!
The added benefit was that hardly anybody was outside and we basically had the Stone Arch Bridge to ourselves. That hardly ever happens!
We left the Stone Arch Bridge and headed back towards our cars. We made a stop for more engagement pics at this little warehouse spot with a couple of cute coffee cups they had along. Some hot chocolate would have been nice right about then too!
Kevin and Stephanie will be getting married in late September at the Hilton Minneapolis Bloomington and we’re looking forward to what I’m sure will be an awesome wedding with this cute couple! – M&J
