Matt & Rachel’s Rush Creek Wedding Photography

Here are some of the beautiful Rush Creek wedding photography highlights from Matt & Rachel pretty wedding ceremony and awesome wedding reception last Friday!

The first of four weddings in eight days, Matt & Rachel got us off to a great start on our busiest wedding photography week of 2015! This was a fantastic and super fun wedding to be a part of! These two “kids” have the nicest families and friends you’ll ever want to spend a wedding day with. Joannie and I had an awesome day and I think their beautiful wedding photos say it all!

A quiet veil moment (sort of).

This is certainly not our first time creating Rush Creek wedding photography. One of the more recent weddings Joannie & I photographed there was for Christine & Grant. Their springtime wedding was a pretty one too!

Last Friday was the unofficial start of the fall color season, the prettiest and shortest time of the year as far as I’m concerned. I wish to could last as long as winter does!

Matt & Rachel had a beautiful day to get married. From a wedding photographer’s standpoint it was a sunny bugger, but at least it was nice temperature wise. If you ask Rachel, I’d guess she would say it was a tad windy. I love some of the images we have of her “veil tornado” throughout the day. It certainly helped keep them loose during their ceremony as her veil certainly had a mind of its own!

I even snuck in an infrared wedding photograph with the clubhouse and the famous huge oak tree at Rush Creek as their backdrop.

Their Rush Creek wedding photo highlights include her first look with her dad and then with Matt under the huge oak tree at Rush Creek Golf Course. There’s lot’s of fun wedding party photographs both in the sun and in the shade around the beautiful clubhouse. We also took many nice family portraits and there are also lots of fun candids from Joannie & I tossed in there too.

A little “attitude!”

Rush Creek Wedding Ceremony

We love creating Rush Creek wedding photos as the venue is as pretty as it gets for a wedding. After the formal and candid pre-ceremony photos were completed, it was time for a wedding! What a pretty and sweet ceremony it was too. A great message from Pastor David Lechelt (from Lord of Life Church in Ramsey) and a little fun watching the wind play with Rachel’s veil, and before you knew it, they were married!

Once again, our new Tamron SP 150-600MM F/5-6.3 Di VC USD lens got into the action both during their wedding ceremony and in the beautiful wedding photo below.

After dinner, it was time to celebrate! Matt & Rachel did it up first class with a fantastic band as their entertainment too! The Riverside Hitmen (formerly known as “Steve Millar and Diamondhead”) were awesome! I love bands at weddings!

Just before dinner, we quickly ran outside to capture this beautiful sunset!
