I’ve recently created a really fun and beautiful engagement book for Hannah and Julian from their favorite engagement portraits.
I had the opportunity to create those engagement portraits back several few weeks ago and now their finished book has arrived. I really, really love it! Because of that, I’ve decided that their engagement session calls for one of my highlight music videos.
We started Hannah and Julian’s engagement portrait session on location right where these two actually became engaged; at The Lowry in Uptown, Minneapolis. A little reenactment of Julian’s proposal was in order and the staff at The Lowry was eager to help us out. We also used the exterior of the building too as it made for some nice book images taken from just across the street.
We left The Lowry and drove over to nearby Lake of the Isles. We created several really fun engagement portraits in several locations right there by the lake. Then we made even more great images as we strolled in and around the surrounding neighborhood of this beautiful Minneapolis lake.
Boy, there sure are some beautiful homes in that part of the city! Great locations that work out very nicely for portrait backgrounds. The whole area seems to have one beautiful, scenic spot after another with wonderful landscaping, great retaining walls and wonderful little nooks and crannies for portraits.
When we finished in the Lake of the Isles area, we decided to go “urban” and head back over to the Uptown business district. We found a very nice little alley with some colorful character and that’s how we close out the engagement book. Very nice.
My thanks go out to Hannah and Julian for a nice, enjoyable afternoon together. Joannie and I are really looking forward to your exciting wedding day coming up in October!
