2016 Heirloom Santa Claus Portraits

Our Final 2016 Heirloom Santa Claus Portraits

Logan brought along his brand new baby sister, Lainey, along with his favorite sidekick and best friend, his cousin Brynlee! All three of these kids have been here for their portraits since they were newborns. For Miss Lainey, that was just a few weeks ago!

Joannie & I had the honor of photographing both of the weddings of these wonderful parents. Lissa and her husband Ryan in 2010, and Jamie and her husband Brandon in 2011. Very cool.

We began their 2016 Heirloom Santa Claus Portraits with Santa Claus outside feeding his reindeer. There was concern that Santa might not go over very well. Well, that was certainly not what happened. All three of these characters loved Santa Claus! Well, ok, Lainey slept through the whole thing, but she gave no indication that she was bothered by being held by Kris Kringle.

This was, like pretty much all of the other Santa portraits that day, a fun and entertaining session. Santa played with Logan and Brynlee, reading books to them and chatting about whatever the kids wanted to talk about. Lainey was an angel and let her brother and Santa hold her while she took a nice nap. We even took the group shot below at the end, including Lissa, Jamie, Brandon & grandma too!

2016 Heirloom Santa Claus Portraits Raising Money for Cystic Fibrosis.

Our 2016 “Storytime with Santa Claus” themed portraits helped us to raise money for Cystic Fibrosis this year. Our Session Fee of $75 was donated entirely to Cystic Fibrosis, with our wonderful clients writing their checks directly to CF.

In addition, Joannie & I will be donating a large portion of their custom print orders to CF as well. It’s our small way of helping to find a cure for Cystic Fibrosis.

Our godchild, Lindsey, has Cystic Fibrosis and just in the last few weeks has received a double lung transplant at the University of Minnesota Hospital in Minneapolis. We’re happy to report that Lindsey is now home from the hospital and is recuperating very nicely.

So this year, all of the monies we’ve raised this year will be given to Cystic Fibrosis in Lindsey’s honor. Let’s hope they can find a cure for CF soon!

During each fun-filled Santa photo session, kids got to visit with Santa Claus for about 30 minutes while reading books, singing songs and hanging out with Kris Kringle. Santa gave presents to each child and there for treats for young and old alike to enjoy while they were here.

These 2016 Heirloom Santa Claus Portraits will be cherished for generations to come. – M&J
